Obituary of Diana Lovas

Diana Lovas (nee Burks)

 

Diana Lovas passed in peace, surrounded by her family, on Sunday September 1, 2019.

 

Diana was born December 12, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, the third of four daughters born to James and Ann Burks (nee Strickland). 

 

She was a 1964 graduate of Ashtabula High School and continued her education at Kent State University.  She retired from Cleveland Electric Illuminating, where she served as Manager of Corporate Billing.  Diana was a member of People's Baptist Church, Ashtabula, Ohio, and Heritage Christian Center, Denver, Colorado.  Diana enjoyed bowling, poker tournaments, the Denver Broncos, and her beloved Cleveland Browns.

 

Diana will be forever remembered by her sisters, Barbara Fraley (August) of Aldie, Virginia and Susan Burks of Denver, Colorado; Brother-in-law, Anthony Esposito of Sarasota, Florida; niece, Pamela Harmon (Terence) of Aldie, Virginia; nephews Rashaun Esposito (Sophia) and Jay Esposito (Zipporah) of Denver, Colorado; great-nieces, Nia and Sage Esposito and great-nephew, Malachi Esposito of Denver, Colorado and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Diana was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Burks and her parents.

 

A Celebration of a Great Life was held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Romero Chapel in Aurora, Colorado.

 

To honor Diana's wishes to be buried in her hometown, a Service of Committal will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 11:00 am at Ridgeview Cemetery, 7205 Austinburg Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.  A repast will be held immediately following at People's Baptist Church, 3837 West Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.

 

Diana’s entire family would like to express their deep-felt thanks to the staff of InnovAge and Denver Hospice for their personal attention and loving care. 

 

We cannot convey how much we will miss her.
