Robert A. Steinberg, 74, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born October 16, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Sol and Eleanor Steinberg.
Robert was a proud Veteran. He served our country in the United States Army from 1966-1969.
Following his service, Robert took pride in being a successful business owner and entrepreneur. He assisted his wife, Leslie in the start-up of her business, Castlewood Kennel.
Robert enjoyed the outdoors, frequently riding his bike or hiking local trails. Robert had a tremendous love of all types of animals. Most special and dear were his dogs.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Leslie; his step-children, Tim (Sharon) Kobus and Shawn (Greg) Sech; brother, Dennis (Marsha) Steinberg; brother-in-law, Joseph (Eunice) Kollar; step-grandchildren, Maggie, Jules, Samantha and Matthew; niece and nephew, Jessica and Joshua.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
A private service will be held with burial to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
