Obituary of Aloma Jean Tackett

Aloma J. Tackett

CLEVELAND- Aloma Jean Tackett, 72, was called home to be with her husband, Billy Joe on Thursday, October 3, 2019 while a patient at the Cleveland Clinic.

The daughter of Roy and Nola (Clark) Skaggs, Aloma was born on August 7, 1947 in Anstead, West Virginia.  Aloma was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and had been an area resident since 1951.

On February 20, 1967 Aloma Skaggs and Billy Joe Tackett were united in marriage. During their forty –eight years of marriage; Aloma and Billy created a home filled with love for their children.

Aloma was employed as a finisher with Zehrco Plastics; she enjoyed her job and the people she worked with.

Aloma enjoyed crocheting and crafts. The beautiful works she created have been shared with her family and friends and have become cherished treasures of the heart. The most cherished moments of her life were spent with her grandbabies.  She was always ready to share her love and received love in abundance.

Those left to cherish Aloma’s memory are her sons; Billy Joe (Kim) Tackett, Jr of N. Kingsville, Bobby Joe Tackett of Ashtabula, Ricky Joe (Kandi) Tackett of Geneva; six grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Michael, Anna, Brittini, Lindsay, and Jacob; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Buddy Skaggs, Gary Skaggs both of Ashtabula, Sandra Newsome of Albion, Michigan, Judy Green of Georgia and Martha Ryan Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sharon Skaggs  and Linda Hamilton both of Ashtabula.

Aloma was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Tackett on August 18, 2015; her son, Danny Joe Tackett in infancy; siblings, Diane Green and Larry Skaggs, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11AM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula with Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Zaback-Williams- Ducro Funeral Home.
