Obituary of Wallace Ray Riggs

Wallace Ray Riggs, 73, passed away on October 18, 2019.

 

He was born on March 7, 1946 to Earl and Isa (Tryon) Riggs.

 

Ray was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

 

He was a member of American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103.

 

He was a truck driver for Best way until his retirement, and then he was a bus driver for MRDD.

Ray loved riding motorcycles, animals, cooking, watching the Food Network and Westerns, and spending time with family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith; and siblings, Kenneth Warner, Thelma Sparks, and John Riggs.  He is survived by his daughters, Jenny (Scott Ray) Riggs, and Darcy (Adam) Wright; his loving granddaughter, Danielle (Derrik Housel) Wright; his dog, Chubbs; close friends, Dave and Barb Rettinger, and Kathy Bliss; and his favorite home health aide, Lori Shine.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM downstairs of the VFW, 4102 Main Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.       

Ducro Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
