Patricia (Housel-Szalai) Doerr, 78, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Sunday, October 27, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Pat was born on April 6, 1941 in Denmark, Ohio. She was the daughter of Vern "Red" and Mary (Fink) Housel.
Anyone who knew Pat knew that she loved Cleveland sports and casino bus trips, especially to Atlantic City. She enjoyed camping and fishing, never without her cats.
Pat loved spending time with her family and grandchildren more than anything. Always supporting them in whatever they did.
Pat is survived by her children Jodi (Alex) Forbes and Jill (Bill Fockler) Forbes; stepchildren, Crystal (Walter) Antos, Tera (Brad) Stojan and Keith Doerr; siblings, Elaine Sundman and Shirley (Charles) Snyder; sister-in-law, Hazel Housel; grandchildren, Bryon (Nicole Mann) Forbes and Mary (Doug Welker) Forbes; and seven step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Doerr; her parents; and siblings, Lloyd Housel and Joyce Harrison.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Calling hours will be from 11A.M. to 1P.M. on November 2, 2019 at CHILDS-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 1071 State Route 7 North, Pierpont.
