Obituary of Deborah Lynn Kelner

ANDOVER –

Deborah Lynn (Goff) Kelner, 68, went home with the Lord on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 surrounded by her family.

 

She was born May 19, 1951 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Cecil and Diane (Kondas) Goff, and had been a lifelong area resident spending 26 years in Jefferson and the past 18 in Andover.

 

A 1969 graduate of Jefferson High School, she married Edward Kelner on September 2, 1979. Deborah belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in both Jefferson and Andover.

 

A passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she was also active in bowling leagues at Jefferson Lanes for many years. She enjoyed walking, camping, fishing and truly loved reading and working in her flower gardens. After her husband's retirement, they loved to travel to North Carolina for the winters. Devoted to her children and grandchildren, she loved spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include her mother, Diane Goff-Gogul of Andover.; two daughters, April Dyer of New Franklin and Stacy (Paul) Hamilton of Ashtabula; son, First Sergeant Aaron (Jamie) Kelner stationed in Ft. Carson, CO; eight grandchildren, Alex, Adrian, Ty, Wyatt, Lyla, Hailey, AJ, Sophie; a great-grandchild, Elizabeth; and sisters, Sandi Thomas of Westerville and Michelle Cole of Perry.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. "Butch" Kelner on September 1, 2016; and her father, Cecil Goff.

 

Calling hours will be held from 10AM-11:30AM and Celebration of Life at 11:30AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Bethel Bible Church, 877 E. Beech St., Jefferson with Pastor Joe Laing officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson.
