ASHTABULA- Hazel Virginia Douglass, 85, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 while a patient at Ashtabula County Medical Center.

The daughter of Raymond F. and Lena (Rouser) Dell, Hazel was born on July 22, 1934 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

On August 2, 1952 Hazel and Donald Douglass were united in marriage. Their marriage of twelve years was brief, but full of love and many cherished memories before Don’s passing on February 22, 1964.

Hazel was a person of many interests and talents; she tended her flower and vegetable gardens with loving care. Was an avid reader of western and mystery novels, crocheting and listening to Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.

She loved, supported and encouraged her children and grandchildren. Her devotion to family was special as was she.

Hazel is survived by her children; Virginia Imburgia of Andover, Suzanne Watros, Stephen Douglass both of Ashtabula, grandchildren, Amy, Scott, Seth, Stephanie, Jesse, and Charles; great grandchildren, Grant, Aida, Conner, Kaden, Elly, Howard, and Pearl; siblings, Margaret Zittroauer of KY, Donna (Kale) Miller, David (Lillian) Dell, George Dell all of PA, and Ricky (Keltie) Dell of SC; loving nieces and nephews.

Hazel was preceded in death by her sons, Dwayne Douglass, Curt Douglass; beloved husband, Donald Douglass; son-in-law, Chuck Imburgia; her siblings, Raymond, James and John Dell, Doris Colyeur, Janet Laird, and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Bishop Nathan Rock, Church of Latter Day Saints will officiate.

A calling hour will be observed from 2:00PM until time of servcie at 3:PM on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004

Burial will in in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C. with her beloved husband, Donald.
