Obituary of Kenneth L. Zaebst
Kenneth L. Zaebst
CLEVELAND- Cancer lost its final battle with Pastor Kenneth L. Zaebst on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
Ken many years ago, gave up the reins to his life and allows the ultimate control of his life to the accounting and will of Jesus Christ, and ultimately gave up his body as well on Wednesday.
Pastor Zaebst over the years served six churches as preacher in Crooksville, Tallmadge and Lenox Township, Ohio; also Shellsburg, Iowa and Hooppole. Illinois.
He always desired to serve the Lord our God both in his vocation and avocations (his private writings of poetry, and his attempt at other writings: his composing of dramas and other performances); his attempts to live a Christian Life both in personal action and his desire to live according to the principles of Christ’s teaching even when it was judged to be unpopular according to the world’s ways.
Ken’s hobbies included birdwatching, building telescopes, astronomy, bicycling, tennis and other racquet sports. Reading and collecting books.
Although Ken now enjoys perfect fellowship with Christ and would not trade this new life for anything on earth, he leaves behind his family whom he loved deeply.
Ken composed his obituary to share with his friends and family. Realizing that his heavenly home awaited him, he wanted you all to know he looked forward to going home with great anticipation and joy.
Ken is survived by his mother, Joyce(Marsh) Zaebst; siblings, Steve(Cindy) Zaebst, Sue (Frank) Izzi both of Ashtabula and Linda (Brian) Anderson of Holiday, Florida; his niece and nephews, Steven, Crystal, Eric and Brett; great nephews, Rexton, Reed and Clayton,
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Zaebst in 2016.
