Obituary of Rudolph Jones

ASHTABULA-Rudolph Jones, 99, of Ashtabula, passed away due to natural causes on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. 

Rudolph was a life-long lover of education. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.  Rudolph, his wife, Mary, and his family lived in Maple Heights while he taught in Cleveland Public Schools. After 10 years of teaching, Rudolph and his family moved to Ashtabula where he began teaching accounting at Kent State University at Ashtabula. 

In his spare time, Rudolph loved building houses, writing, and walking his dog, Bingo, around his neighborhood. Over his lifetime, Rudolph built over 100 homes and published two books. In his 80s, Rudolph obtained his Doctorate in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.  In his retirement, he was also known as Domino's Pizza favorite delivery man. 

Rudolph will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Mary (nee Young), and his children Douglas Jones, Mark (Harriett) Jones, Deborah McNeil, Randolph Jones, and Russell (Andrea) Jones. Rudolph will be fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, Brittiani McNeil, Rikki (Mark) Poorman, Christopher (Amanda) Jones, Melissa (Michael) McKinley, Ryan (Nicole) Jones, Meredith (Will) Lemmers, Taylor Jones, Stanley Jones, Daniel Jones, and Diana Jones and eight great-grandchildren. 

Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eva (nee Vitt) Jones and his brother, Paul Jones. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, December 5th, 2019 at. Zaback-Williams- Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Raymond Thomas will preside. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula, Ohio .

A calling hour will be observed from 11AM until time of service at 12 noon on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home.
