Karen S. Lamb Geneva-Karen Sue (Mitchell) Lamb, 65, passed away on February 7, 2020 while a resident at Geneva Village Nursing Home. The daughter of Arvel and Marilyn (Brunell) Mitchell, Karen was born on April 2, 1954 in Ashtabula and had remained a lifelong area resident. On July 23, 1977 Karen married Stephen Lamb and together they celebrated forty three years of love and devotion. The memories they created on their marriage journey have now become treasures of the heart. Karen was employed with PreMix for more than twenty years. She enjoyed the friends she made and remained in contact with many of them in her retirement. Karen enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets, playing cards and going to the casinos. She was an accomplished cook, everyone knew when they were invited to eat at Karen’s the food would be delicious and plentiful. Karen’s greatest enjoyment was her family. She raised four wonderful children, spoiled nine charming grandchildren and doted on four precious great grandchildren. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Lamb, Sr. of Ashtabula; her children, Stephen (Amber) Lamb, Jr. of Orwell, Laurie (James Bish, Jr.) Peters of Madison, Ricky(Aleta Inman) Lamb of Ashtabula, and Nicholas (Marsha )Lamb of Geneva; grandchildren, Eric Rich, Jr., Jessica (Justin) Bess, Tyler(Jasmine) Peters, Micha Cole, Heather Lamb, James Bish, III, Annie Bish, Jayni Lamb, and her very special Sweetface; great grandchildren, Sydney Bess, Greenlee Rich, Melanie and Hadyn Peters. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bruce and Brian Mitchell. Funeral Services will be held at7 PM on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor of Pentecostal Church of God will officiate. Calling hours will be held from 5PM until 7PM on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for the care given to Karen and to her family during her journey home.
