Rose M. Weir, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2020. She was born July 27, 1946, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Pasqual and Kathryn (Lago) Sposito and was an area resident all of her life. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Weir, on April 24, 1965 and celebrated 50 years together until he passed on June 5, 2015. Rose worked for a number of years for the Buckeye School System until she opened her own restaurant, the Colonial, in North Kingsville, Ohio. She was the owner/operator until she retired. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, traveling, casinos, lunch and shopping with friends, and spending time with family. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Weir, and her brother, John Sposito, Sr. Her survivors include her three children, Ken P. (Judy Shears) Weir, Kevin A. Weir, and Kerri (Andrew) Sespico, all of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Kassidy Keating and Kendall Burkholder; and her brother, Pete Sposito of Kingsville. Calling Hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM with a Service to follow at 7:00PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
