Maxine Hall ASHTABULA- Maxine Johnson Hall, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 and now is resting safely in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. The daughter of Dave and Martha (Mullins) Johnson, Maxine was born in Bevingsville, Floyd County, Kentucky on May 27, 1933. On June 13, 1949 Maxine and Garnest Hall, Sr. were united in marriage in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Maxine and Garnest celebrated fifty four years of marriage prior to his death on June 28, 2003. Their marriage was one of respect and love; they created many memories in their marriage journey. Maxine and her family are members of the Pentecostal Church of God. Maxine was employed with RaeAnn Skilled Nursing in the Dietary Department as a cook. She enjoyed her fellow workers and the residents. Maxine enjoyed going to casinos and bargain hunting at Goodwill Stores. She was a regular and everyone enjoyed seeing her walk through the door. She loved her dog, Tasha who kept her company after Garnest passed on. Maxine was an excellent cook and was always glad to share a meal with family and friends. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, her love was unending and she prayed for them every day. Maxine will be remembered for her love of her family, her faith and ability to persevere when times were difficult. Maxine is survived by her children, Heastrine Karsikas, Pauline Parsons, Jacqualine White all of Ashtabula, Garnest Hall, Jr., of Elyria, Marlene Warner of Ashtabula, Dean Hall of Jefferson, Vernon Hall, Doreen Ritchie, Charlene Daye, Annleen Noble, and Paul Hall, Sr., a grandson whom she raised all of Ashtabula, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Patty Cole and Mike Johnson; nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Garnest Hall, Sr., siblings, Robert, Hatler, Dennis and Bud Johnson, Glendafaye Johnson and Shelby Vance and her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Kenny Roberts will officiate; burial in Saybrook Cemetery Calling hours will be observed from 5PM until 8PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
