Obituary of David Allen Jordan, Sr. David A. Jordan Sr., age 73, of Williamsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 surrounded by his family. David was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and Arline (Fenner) Jordan. David over the years worked for General Electric, Parker Hannifin, Sanborn Wire, and Spring Team before his retirement. He was an Honored member of the Ashtabula Safety Council and was the Wayne Township Fire Chief for many years. David was an avid car fan and thus was a member of numerous car clubs and The Antique Engine Club. He was a proud supporter of the veterans especially P.O.W’s. He was instrumental in the Little League Baseball program in the Andover and Williamsfield areas. David was an avid Pymatunig Valley Laker Fan and was often seen at various sporting and school events. David enjoyed life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Jordan, his step-father Earl Overmoyer, and his brother Edward Jordan Jr. He is survived by his son David “Bunky” (Laurie) Jordan Jr., daughter Jo (Paul) Silvers; grandchildren Megan and Rebecca Jordan, Matthew, Adam, Noah, and Morgan Silvers; and great-grandchildren James Jordan and Logan VanAllen; sisters: Debbie (Mark) Jordan-Vosburg and their son Jordan, Monie Jordan, Debi Pierce, Abbie (Ron) Naumann; brothers: Jamie Jordan, Daniel Overmoyer, James (Joyce) Overmoyer, and Robert (Carrie) Overmoyer. David had a great relationship with his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. At David’s request, he was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2020 at 4738 Woodworth Road, Andover, Ohio from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
