Ethel M. Wallace ASHTABULA- Ethel May Wallace, 95 was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, April 22, 2020. The daughter of Roosevelt and Beatrice (Woods) Kirk, Ethel was born on May 13, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1955 Ethel married Lovell Wallace. Lovell passed away in 1966 and Ethel became a single mother. She worked hard and raised her children with love and determination. Ethel enjoyed traveling and was ready to go at the drop of the hat. When she was home she enjoyed gospel music and enjoyed listening to the Gaither Family Singers. Born with a good sense of humor which improved over the years; you would always be waiting to hear one of her”Wally Mayisms”. Her most heard was “I just grin and bear it”. Ethel is survived by her devoted children, Harolyn Anderson, Ethel(Robert) Griff, Sharold Kerley, Kirk(Yvonne)Wallace, daughter-in-law, June Brown; many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great - great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lovell Wallace; children, Harold Brown, Harolette Pope, and William Wallace; sons-in-law, Thomas Anderson and Louie Kerley; siblings, Dorothy Nash and Harold Kirk and her parents. Private family services were held and burial was at Ridgeview Cemetery. DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES and CREMATORY, 4524 elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio assisted the family. www.ducro.com
