Obituary of Donna Blaney

Donna Alice (Bunner) Blaney, 74, of Ashtabula passed away April 25, 2020 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. Donna was born on April 20, 1946 in Belington, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Glenna Jean Phillips and the late Denzil Bunner; mother of Lisa Blaney Brown; grandmother of Cory Brown; dear sister of Doris Bunner, Sandra McGuire and Jon Bunner; and dear aunt to Kaeli, Zachary, Blaine and Shaun. She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Debra Bunner. Prior to retirement Donna had been the Aftercare Coordinator at Glenbeigh Hospital. She retired after battling Multiple Sclerosis most of her adult life. Donna had been a resident of Saybrook Landing for the past year and a half as a result of her progressing illness. Donna's greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank Capital Health Home Care for the many years of care and compassion they provided Donna. They would also like to thank the team at Saybrook Landing whom embraced her kindly when she became a long-term resident. Donna considered them "her friends" and enjoyed her time there. In addition, the family wishes to recognize the healthcare hero's at ACMC and the ICU staff who cared for Donna in her last days as she battled coronavirus.
