Jane C. Stoneman ASHTABULA- Jane Carole Stoneman 74, was surrounded in love by her family as she completed the last chapter of her earthly ”Book of Life”; Monday, May 4, 2020. The daughter of Robert and Vera (Allen) Mason, Jane was born on September 3, 1945 in Jefferson, Ohio and graduated from Ashtabula High School. Jane was a long time dedicated employee of Ashtabula County Medical Center for thirty years working in patient accounts. Shortly after her retirement she became the office manager of Hide-A-Way Lakes Campgrounds. This was a perfect job! She was a person who enjoyed being with people and sharing her time and talents with them. She considered everyone who camped with her, family. Jane and her sister, Roberta were crafters. They never met a craft fair they did not like; whether it was close or far away. They were always creating, sharing ideas with other crafters and teaching anyone who wanted to learn. Jane loved to be with people, she had a need to always help those around her. She was reluctant to accept help as she felt that there were others in her life that deserved help more than she. Jane will be remembered as a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend to many. Her great sense of humor, generosity, kindness, strength and determination will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Jane is cherished by those whom she loved with her entire being. Sons, Jeff (Paula) Stoneman, and Mike (Shannon Wood) Stoneman; grandchildren, Taylor (Mike Atwater) Stoneman, Amber (Alan) Roane, Ashley Stoneman, Travis Stoneman, Mikey Stoneman and Jillian Sterling; great granddaughter, Andrea Rubino; her sister, Roberta Watson; loving nieces and nephews; her many wonderful friends at Hide-A-Way Lakes Campgrounds. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Stoneman, siblings, Janice Mason-Crabtree and James Mason and her parents. If desired, contributions in Jane’s name may be made to Saybrook Fire Department at 5714 North Ridge West, Ashtabula, OH 44004. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
