ASHTABULA- Nelson Pomales, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at his residence.
Nelson was born December 5, 1962 in Geneva, Ohio, the son of the late Manuel and Celita (Torres) Pomales.
Nelson had been disabled in an accident while working as a cable installer. His disability did not define his life. He enjoyed fishing and when he was able, he liked to hunt. Nelson’s love of cars allowed him to teach others to do repairs while he could not physically do them himself.
Nelson is survived by his siblings, Raquel (Louis) Martinez, Fred (Carmen) Pomales, Norma Rivera, Paula Pomales, Annabelle (Mark) O’Donnell, Daniel (Angela) Pomales, David Pomales, Nancy Noce, and Manuela Pomales; step children, Rosemary Wright, Heather Fults and Robert Nerone and their children; loving nieces and nephews.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Carlo Rivera; brother, Manuel Pomales, PhD.
There will be no services scheduled at this time.
