Please share a memory of Peggy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
ASHTABULA – Peggy Ann Hoplight, 59, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 11, 1960 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Evelyn Erdine Urch and had been a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, she was a devoted mother who was always there for her kids. She enjoyed taking them on walks through the neighborhood, being outdoors, and watching TV game shows with them. A talented knitter, she made beautiful blankets for her family which will always be treasured keepsakes. In her younger years, she was a regular participant on local radio call-in shows. She was proud of her nails and long hair and never missed an episode of Days of Our Lives, weekdays at 1 PM. She was fond of the color purple and always enjoyed country music. But above all things, she loved her family and was a wonderful soul, always one to give before receiving.
Her survivors include four children, Mark T. Hoplight, Patricia L. Hoplight, Britta A. Adamini, and Crystal R. Hoplight; five grandchildren, Lauren Carr, Drake Hoplight, Lawrence Santilli, Jr., Gregory Adamini, and Gionna Adamini; her mother, Evelyn Garoutte; one brother, Eric Perkins; one sister, Brenda (Charles) Carroll; several nieces and nephews including Kyle, Walter "A.J." Jr., Brandy, Heather, Diana, Erika, April, Mark, Kelvin, Jessica, Kayla, Andrea, and Charles Jr.; several great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Max, that she adopted as a pup.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Walter Perkins; her uncle, Milton Urch,, Jr.; her niece, Angela Perkins; and her step-father, Bill Garoutte.
