Obituary of Tracy Leon Trent, Sr.

Tracy Leon Trent, Sr. ERIE, PA – Tracy Leon Trent, Sr. 50, passed away Tuesday May 19, 2020 at his home. He was born June 16, 1969 in Ashtabula, the son of Joe Paul and Betty Lee (Kibbee) Trent and had lived in Erie for the past 6 years and previously in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Ashtabula High School and had worked as a counselor and house manager. He was proud of and dedicated to being a chairman for AA, an organization that had saved his life years ago. He led group meetings and assisted hundreds of people on their journey through recovery. He was also thankful for how that brought him to a relationship with the Lord. Tracy enjoyed reading Stephen King novels and recovery books, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and listening to 80’s rock music. His pride and joy was his Monte Carlo SS and he loved his Chihuahua, Chica. His survivors include his mother, Betty Lee Trent of SC; four children, Tracy Trent, Jr., Monika J. Trent, Dustin Trent, and Whitney Beesler; two grandchildren, Esme Cruz and Rhylee Trent; two brothers, Michael Trent and Timothy Trent; and four sisters, Heather Trent, Lori McAtee, Jennifer Zigmont, and Bettina Trent; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Kibbee; and his father. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3-5 on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Main Pavilion at Lake Shore Park. Family will ask those attending to be respectful in practicing social distancing. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
