Frederick R. Swann, 87, of Painesville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his home in Davenport, Florida. He was born May 18, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of the late Perry and Ollie Jane (Jones) Swann. Fred was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He married Donna Weir in March of 1952. Mr. Swann worked for many years as an electrician at Rockwell Brake. He was a member of the Painesville VFW. He had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, gardening, art and was a talented painter. Most of all he was a skilled pilot who enjoyed flying his personal Cherokee Piper 4 seater airplane. Fred is survived by his second wife Beverly; children, Mark Swann, Jeffery (Debbie) Swann, Lorri (David) Sayre, Kenneth Swann, Timothy Swann, and Susan Semrau; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Donna in 1995; siblings, Margaret, Betty, and Daniel Swann. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00AM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 3140 E. Center St., North Kingsville, Ohio 44068. The family requests those in attendance must please wear a mask and practice social distancing procedures. Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula is handling arrangements.
