Obituary of Joan Ann Morrison

Joan Ann Morrison ASHTABULA – Joan Ann Morrison, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, July 17, 2020 at her home with her family at her side. She was born July 8, 1932 in Cleveland, the daughter of George and Rosalind (Wichmen) Bennett and had been a Plymouth Township resident for 52 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a custodian for the Ashtabula Area City Schools, working at McKinsey Elementary and then Plymouth Elementary before her retirement. She loved her cats and flowers and cherished all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her survivors include two sons, Terry D. (Connie) Morrison and Daniel W. (Candy) Morrison; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Georgene Evans of Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman David Morrison on March 19, 1993; two daughters, Wanda J. DeCola on September 23, 2016 and Donnetta L. Campbell; three sisters, Margaret Pettit, Delores Warriner, and Eleanore Nemitz; and her parents. Private services will be held Wednesday at the DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. Pastor Bill Isaacs of Lake Erie Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.
