James D. Hastings, 72, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon. He was born on January 7, 1948 to H. Donald and Louise (Townsend) Hastings.
James was a 1966 Harbor High School graduate. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Isabelle Hastings.
James is survived by his wife, Barbara of Ashtabula; daughter, Melinda Burgeson of Delaware, Ohio; son, Jarrod Hastings of Ashtabula; sisters, Susan Hastings of Troy, Ohio and Jennifer (Kevin) Spencer of Seymour, Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Adrianna Rich, Ethan, Nathaniel, and Jacob Hastings
Private services will be held as the family wishes that no one is exposed to COVID-19.
