GENEVA – David Charles McAdoo, 64, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Thomas Charles and Doris (Gampel) McAdoo and had been an Geneva resident for the past 10 years after living in the Cleveland area most of his life.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he faithfully served his country before being honorably discharged.
An avid Cleveland sports fan who always cheered for the Browns, Cavs, and Indians, he enjoyed country music and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.
His survivors include two children, Stephanie Vara of Parma and David McAdoo, Jr. of Highland Heights; 3 grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikey, and Dominic Vara; two brothers, Allen McAdoo and Douglas McAdoo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary McAdoo; two sisters, Patty Olbonar and Sharon Thompson and a beloved family friend, Ken “Uncle Kenny” Lowery.
The family will hold services at a later date.
