John Francis Peterson, 64, formerly of Marquette, Michigan passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Ashtabula County medical Center.
He was born August 30, 1956 in Marquette, Michigan the son of the late Gerald and Dorothy (Grace) Peterson. John graduated from Marquette High School Class of 1975. After High School He enlisted in the United State Air Force and proudly served our country until his disability in 1986. During his career in the military John served as a Pilot and a gunner technician while serving many missions in the Air Force.
John was a member of the NRA and the American Legion where he enjoyed spending time and socializing with his friends. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Bradley) Nicholson of Little River, SC, Darlene Young of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Linda Sheets of Pierpont, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his niece, Gayle Russell, and great-nephew, Malik Young.
In keeping with his wishes, John will be cremated and laid to rest with his parents in Park Cemetery in Marquette Michigan.
