Julie Marie Milano, 89, of Ashtabula, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She married the love of her life, Harold Milano on August 29, 1953 at Mt. Carmel Church; they celebrated 56 years of marriage around the time of his passing in 2010. Born May 27, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Colicchio) Church and was a 1949 Graduate of Ashtabula High School. Julie was a member of Our Lady of Peace, Mother of Sorrows Church, Ashtabula. Very family oriented and a dedicated homemaker, Julie welcomed everybody with open arms into her home. She loved to cook, host parties, and always looked forward to family nights. An avid dancer, Julie and her husband were always seen on Saturday nights dancing to live” Big Band” music; Julie especially loved ballroom dancing. Inseparable, Harold and Julie could also been seen dinning at Eddies Grill at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Julie enjoyed watching Cleveland sports with family and friends and will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and thoughtful wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Dale (Barbara) Milano; daughter, Vicki (Rick) Schupska all of Ashtabula; her siblings, Nancy (Church) Palumbo, Jane (Howard) Harley and Donald (Janet) Church; granddaughters, Wendi (Chad) Carter, Laura (Adam) Simons and Kelly (John Carbon) Dennison, all of Ashtabula; and her five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Aiden Simons, Mason and Adilynn Carter and John Carbon Julie was preceded in death by her husband Harold who passed on April 15, 2010; and her parents. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Deacon Richard Johnson officiating. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions in Julie’s name may be made to DaVita Ashtabula Dialysis, 1614 W 19th St, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
