Georgetown, TX-Virginia Lee Cosner, of Georgetown, TX, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Georgetown Living-Certified Alzheimer’s Residence-Assisted Living after a lengthy illness. Married September 10, 1954, she was the beloved wife of the late Howard R. Cosner for 66 years.
Born on April 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Fannie (McClure) Lanham.
Formerly from Kingsville, OH, she was a dedicated member of the Kingsville First Baptist Church for over 50 years and belonged to the Eastern Star Chapter #12. In her spare time, Virginia found joy in quilting.
Virginia will be remembered by her two children; daughter Darlene (Mike) Swaney of Georgetown, TX and son Donald (Chris) Cosner of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Michael Swaney, Kimberly Montague, and Dylan Cosner, all of Texas; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Howard, who passed on May 15, 2020, she was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, Richard Lanham, and grandson David Cosner.
A private burial will be conducted in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, North Kingsville, OH. The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
