Obituary of Bonnie J. Hunt

Ashtabula- Bonnie Jeanne (Fay) Hunt, 93, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 surrounded by her loving grandchildren. She was born on March 27, 1927 in Berea, Ohio the daughter of Eugene Norman Fay and Virginia Louise Smith. Bonnie taught for a few years in Parma and loved teaching the music and art. Her passion for teaching continued as she tutored many students in piano and art lessons. She enjoyed antiquing and had an antique store in Lima, before moving to Ashtabula. Bonnie is remembered for her crocheting, she made many blankets, animals, and nativity sets. She was a wonderful mentor for her family, whom she adored dearly. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald E. Hunt; and her son, James Casey Hunt. She is survived by her grandchildren, Elicia M. (Ray Van Dyke) Shreve, Darrell T. Hunt, Chauntelle D. Ashley and Sierra D. (Jason White) Vlach; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, with one on the way; sisters, Merilyn Knox and Karen (Keith) Collett; and a daughter-in-law, Laura F. Hunt. A celebration of life will be held, those that wish to attend may contact the family.
