Obituary of Nancy Louise Rumora

Nancy Louise Rumora, 90, of Ashtabula and Salesville, Ohio died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020 due to complications from a stroke. She was at her home in Ashtabula surrounded by her Husband and surviving children. Nancy was born in 1930 in Donora Pennsylvania to the late Joseph M. Barbao and Kathryne Wyne Barbao. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Jack Rumora for nearly 69 years. She created wonderful homes for her family over the years in six locations in Ohio and PA. She was an avid painter and talented artist. She owned a business in Senecaville Ohio, a former bank building she coined “The Art Bank”, where for many happy years she taught and sold her craft. Family was all important to her, having her weekend visits to the family cabin or Ashtabeautiful never came often enough and were always too short. She had a feisty loving spirit and will always be remembered for her wit and wisdom “It is what it is, deal with it.” Nancy had 4 children, daughter Cathie Rose Gilbreath (deceased) and sons Lee Jay (Jane), Jed (Karla), and Matt (Karen) all of the Columbus area. Nancy had eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. She is survived by her brothers, Joe Barbao of Crown Pointe, IN, Kenney Barbao of Donora, Pensylvania, and multiple nieces and nephews mainly in the Donora Pennsylvania area. She is also survived by her forever painting buddy, Barb (Charlie) Morrison of Rock Bridge, Ohio.
