Obituary of Dustin Jared Gaylor

Dustin J. Gaylor Dustin Jared Gaylor, 35, of Pierpont, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1985 in Wilkes Co., North Carolina, the son of Theodore and Judy (Lowery) Gaylor. He graduated from Atlantic High School in Port Orange, Florida. Dustin was an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed seeing the country and always brought his mom back a rock for her rock garden from every state he went through. In his younger years, he loved golfing with his father. Dustin enjoyed the outdoors; he enjoyed tinkering with cars, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles, and was an avid fisherman. Dustin loved to cook, his family and friends often raved over his cooking. When he traveled on the road, he would share with them over social media what he was preparing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughter. She was daddy's little girl and the apple of his eye. Dustin is survived by his mother, Judy Gaylor; daughter, Dakota Jade Gaylor; sister, Holly (Robert Legowski) Gaylor; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved dog Chyna, who traveled the country with him. He was preceded in death by his father Ted in 2010. A celebration of Dustin's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
