Obituary of B. Brent Bunnell

B. Brent Bunnell ASHTABULA – B. Brent Bunnell, 54, passed away Thursday February 4, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born January 18, 1967 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Ben B. and Jo (Warren) Bunnell and was a lifelong Ashtabula resident. A 1985 graduate of Harbor High School, he earned his Bachelor's Degree from The College of Wooster. On September 10, 1994, Brent married Jennifer Vandevort and together they shared 26 wonderful years. He spent his career with Ashtabula Insurance Center and enjoyed serving the community and his many clients for the past 30 years. An active member of Duck's Unlimited, Brent loved the outdoors and was happiest when hunting, fishing, and snowboarding. Once an avid runner, he was a longtime Cross Country and Track enthusiast and offered support and encouragement to many area student athletes through the years. He loved to talk and visit with others and never missed an opportunity to share a friendly smile or tell a story. A wonderful husband, father, and son, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his two children, Brady Bunnell of Ashtabula and Jessica Bunnell of Atlanta, GA; his parents, Ben and Jo Bunnell of Ashtabula; his sister, Susan Meyers of Ashtabula; and his beloved black lab, Raven. He was preceded in death by his dear friend, Jim Beitel. Calling hours will be held 4-8PM on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with Rev. Glen Warner, Pastor Emeritus officiating. Contributions can be made to the family.
