Mindy L. Martinez AUSTINBURG-Mindy Lou Martinez, 49, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend began her heavenly journey Sunday, February 7, 2021. Her unexpected death was due to Ovarian Cancer. Mindy was born on February 17, 1971 in Geneva, the daughter of Angel Luis and Raquel (Pomales) Martinez. She remained a lifelong area resident. Mindy graduated from Happy Hearts School and was a dedicated employee of Ashcraft Industries. For thirty years Mindy enjoyed being a part of Ashcraft to her it was not a job, but an adventure where she had many friends. Mindy had many interests and talents; she really liked WWE, John Cena, Randy Orton and The Undertaker is just a few of those wrestlers she cheered on. Golden Girls, Little House on the Prairie and 911 were a few of the television shows Mindy enjoyed. Mindy was a “social butterfly”. Her sister, Lucy would accompany her to all of the dances at Ashcraft. No one could party like Mindy! She would lift her voice in song at a moment’s notice, her smile was infectious, and her sense of humor could not be ignored. Mindy knew so many people, it was amazing the amount of friends she had. Mindy’s greatest joy came from being with family. She was a devoted daughter to her parents; she was a fun loving sister to Lucy and Alex.
