Obituary of Ronald L. Bell

Ronald L. Bell CLEVELAND- Ronald Leonardo Bell, 58 was called home on Thursday, April 29, 2021 while a patient at Cleveland Clinic. The son of David M. and Verna L. (Delaney)Bell Ron was born August 2, 1962 in Ashtabula. After graduating high school Ron joined the United States Navy where he served from 1982 until his honorable discharge in 1988. It was then he joined the Merchant Marines and was stationed with the Military Sea Lift Command. Receiving his discharge in 2007. It was during his service to his country that, Ron “ traveled ½ way around the world thirteen times”! Ron had many interests, he was a fan of WWE, enjoying Rick flair and Hulk Hogan watching the “Three Stooges”. He could tell stories like no other, he had you laughing until you cried. Ron was also a “foodie” if he heard about a new place to dine, he and Keely would get in the car to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. His go to meal was his French Toast which was enjoyed by everyone. Ron’s greatest blessing was his family. He adored his daughter, Keely. She was never far from his thoughts, he supported and encouraged her in her triumphs and her disappointments. He was a role model for his family; his sisters and brothers looked up to him. He gave them advice that would last them a lifetime. Ron is survived by his beloved daughter Keely Neal of Ashtabula, Siblings, Edna Renee Bell of Ashtabula, Vanessa A. Bell of Columbus, David M. Bell, Jr. of Marion, Sybil D. Bell also of Columbus, Timothy I. (Rose) Bell and Anthony D. Bell both of Ashtabula; nieces and nephews, Rakeen Bell, Ashley Bell, Rashaad Bell, Shaniqua Bell, D’ Andre` Curenton and Michael Bell; great nephew, Jabari Bell. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Zaback- Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula Ohio. Superintendent, Mitchell Jones, Miracle Temple, COGIC officiating. Calling Hours will be observed from 11AM until time of service at 1PM at the funeral home.
