ASHTABULA – Joan Alice DeAnna, 73, of East 21st St. died unexpectedly Thursday, May 20, 2021.
She was born November 25, 1947 in Ashtabula, the daughter of the late Steve and Amelia (Mariotti) DeAnna and had been lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A graduate of Harbor High School, she worked 30 years for K-Mart prior to their closing at the Ashtabula Mall.
Joan was loved by her family and enjoyed the simple things in life, mostly reading and taking walks in the harbor.
Her survivors include her sister, Bernice Schroeder of Zephyrhills, FL; her brother, Steven Louis DeAnna of Columbus; nieces, Michelle, Christina, Stephanie, and Sarah; and nephews, Kenneth, Kevin, Dylann and Aaron.
Following cremation, burial will be with her parents at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula. No services will be held at this time.
