Lawrence Edward Meier, Jr., 50, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 after a battle with heart disease.
Born February 1971 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a 1989 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School. Larry was a long-time employee of Kinder Morgan. He previously was a stevedore who sailed on the Wolverine, the Fred White, and the Maumee. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and boating on Pymatuning Lake. He loved classical music and attending concerts at Stambaugh auditorium.
He also enjoyed reading, history, and antiques. His nieces and nephews were the light of his life and they all adored him.
Larry is survived by his mother and stepfather, JoAnn and Calvin Andersen of North Kingsville; stepmother, Betsy Meier of Kingsville; sisters, Chris Stevens (Loren) of Kingsville, and Laura (Jeremy) Meier of Ashtabula; nieces and nephews, Trinity Stevens, Luke Stevens, Atticus Martin, and Sophia Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence E. Meier, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Ed and Rita Meier; aunt, Helen Roberts; and maternal grandparents, George H. Dyer and Eileen Hegner.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 5-7PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
