Obituary of Carol Ann Bolyard

Geneva- Carol Ann Bolyard, 69, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at UH- Geauga Hospital after a brief illness. Carol was born on May 15, 1952, the only child of Walter and Marie (Hrich) Chapek. She graduated from Notre Dame High School Class of 1970. A resident of the area since moving from Cleveland in 1978, she was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Madison, where she loved to volunteer and taught Sunday School. In addition, she was a faithful volunteer at Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva, where she loved to help with the grape pies, during the Grape Jamboree. Carol had a passion to help people and pets and loved to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and opened her home to many stray animals. She also loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed traveling and visiting many of the area amusement parks. Carol loved to dance and was always first out on the dance floor at the many family weddings. She also enjoyed watching Disney movies and having a hot cup of tea in the morning. Carol is survived by her daughter, Angela Meeks; and her dear grandson, Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie Chapek; and her great-uncle, Ed Hrich; aunt Bertha Hrich; and a a great-grandmother, Anna Hrich, all who took a vital role in her upbringing in Carol's younger years. Friends and family will be received at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM. No services will be observed.
