Obituary of Juanita Payne

Summerville, SC- Juanita Payne, 89, Formerly of Kingsville, Ohio passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 18, 2021 in Summerville, South Carolina where she resided for the last 10 years. Juanita was born on October 16, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Graydon and Lillie (Jones) White. She graduated from Andover High School Class of 1950 and married the love of her life, William Payne. Juanita retired from GE in Conneaut, after 27 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Church of God in Conneaut. Juanita loved to travel, and a major highlight of her faith-driven life was a trip to the Holy Land. She enjoyed bowling in a women's and mixed bowling league. In her younger years she loved to roller skate. Juanita was also a wonderful cook and loved to sew. Juanita is survived by her children, Deborah (Thomas) Ryan, of Summerville, SC, Pamela Payne, of Ashtabula, Marnita Loose, of Ashtabula. William (Linda) Payne, Jr. of Madison, John (Mary) Payne of Conneaut, and Kenneth Payne of Ashtabula; sister, Marcella (Danny) Slozat of Linesville, PA; stepdaughter, Nina Ward, of Brunswick; and 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Graydon White and Lillian Jones White; she was preceded in death by her husband, William Payne; stepdaughter, Sandi Boone; sister, Phyllis Coy; brothers, Karl Jones and Ronald Jones; grandson, Dale Canter; and a step-granddaughter, Sara Boone. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 6PM to 8PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect St., Ashtabula and on Friday, July 30 from 11AM to 12PM, where funeral services will follow on Friday at 12NOON with Pastor Carson Robson officiating.
