Obituary of Diana Lynn Lewis

Diana Lynn Lewis, 76, of Ashtabula passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was born May 12, 1945, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Thompson) Beatty. Diana graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1964. Diana was mainly a homemaker raising her six children, but she also babysat many other children over the years. Diana was a den mother for the boy scouts and a co-leader with Pat Stevens for the girl scouts. She was a Sunday school teacher, leader of the bus ministry, and the autumn leaves program for the elderly at the Ashtabula Church of Christ. She was a loving wife of 34 years to James Lewis until his passing. Diana most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a pet lover, she collected ducks, eagles, odd candles, candle holders, pigs, and cookbooks. In her past time, she enjoyed spending time with her companion on the swing and watching special programs on TV. Diana is survived by her children, Allen Lewis, Eugene Lewis, John Lewis, Pam (Rick) Sherman, Susan (John) Lewis, and Wade (Angela) Lewis; brother, Dwight Beatty; sister, Judy Boggs; grandchildren, Kristie Lewis, Zachary Bean, Robbie Brecker, Jean Bartone, Wade “Dunners” Lewis, Jr., Sarah, Megan, and Erika Kelsey; and great-grandchildren, Olivander, Eloise, Jacob, Troy, Hazel, Prestin, and Karson Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James; companion Floyd “Froggy” Swank; sister, Nadine Allerman; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 2:30 PM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Calling hours will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of service at 2:30.
