Obituary of Christopher James Daye

Christopher J. Daye ASHTABULA- Christopher “Chrissy” James Daye, 40 died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his residence. The son of Charlene (Hall) and Thomas Daye, Sr., Chris was born on January 9, 1981, in Ashtabula and had remained a lifetime area resident. Chris enjoyed being outdoors; going fishing and hunting enjoying nature were some of his best days. He liked going four wheeling with his family and friends and having a good time. Chris loved his family, spending time with them was a large part of his life. Chris is survived by his beloved children, Shane Welton, Jacob Daye, Grace Daye, and Nathan Daye; his granddaughter Remi Welton; his mother, Charlene Daye; siblings, Thomas (Mindy) Daye. Jr., Glenda (John) Peterson, Anna (Ray) Phelps and Robert Snyder; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Daye, Sr., his maternal grandparents, Maxine and Garnest Hall, Sr., paternal grandparents, Pearl and John Daye. Funeral Services will be 12 Noon on Thursday July 29,2021 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor of Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial in Saybrook Cemetery. Calling hours from 10AM until time of services at 12 noon at the Ducro Funeral Home. If desired, contributions may be made to the family.
