Betty M. Ghiz CONNEAUT- Betty Marie Ghiz, 80 passed on Wednesday, July 28, 2021; surrounded in love by her family. The daughter of Harry and Virginia (Groves) Seabright, Betty was born on June 22, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Betty was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Ashtabula. She served on many committees and enjoyed the many friendships she made. Betty was a member of Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Betty was employed by Wal Mart for many years, primarily working in the health and beauty sections. She liked to share her knowledge of her products with the Wal Mart customers Betty was a very hard worker, a trait she learned from her parents. She enjoyed keeping her home neat and tidy. For those who knew her best, Betty could be described as “feisty”. Betty loved ice cream but enjoyed it much more in the company of her grandchildren, it seemed to taste better when sitting next to children. She never met a piece of chocolate that she did not like and at time was known to hide a few pieces for later. Her home was her haven, she invited folks over to share holidays and enjoyed being in their presence. She decorated her home with such care and her Christmas Trees were to be admired. It had been said that Betty had such style and class, she accepted those compliments with humility. Betty was a good daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and great-great grandma she loved with her entire being. Her family gave her such great joy and pride. Betty is survived by her loving daughters and their families, Paula (Craig) Clevenger of Belaire, Annette (Mark) Montgomery of Conneaut with whom she made her home; five beloved grandchildren, Ray (Peggy Simms) Kemp, Kathryne (Tim Baker) Beiswenger, Sherri Welton, Pam Welton and David Montgomery; fifteen precious great grandchildren; three adored great-great grandchildren; siblings, Harry Seabright and Eileen (Alfred) Felix; sister-in-law Sandy Seabright; loving nieces and nephews.
