James M. Young Longwood, FL – James M. Young, 76, of Longwood, FL passed away June 18, 2021, at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, FL. He was born November 24, 1944, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Myron H. Young and Ruth Annabelle Miller Young. He attended Worcester Academy, Worcester, Massachusetts, and Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. Jim served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a retired trust officer and a member of the Elks and Kiwanis Clubs. After retiring, he worked as a cruise travel agent. Jim attended Annunciation Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, old western movies and live sporting events. His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carol (Burke); two children, Linda (Dennis) Garcia of Clermont, FL; Ed Young of Altamonte Springs, FL; his sister Sally (Chuck) Kemp and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of James's Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10AM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Hospice of Western Reserve – Ashtabula, 1166 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
