Please share a memory of Jacqueline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
ASHTABULA - Jacqueline Ann McTrusty-Nazor, 61, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 19, 2021 at UH – Cleveland Medical Center. Jacqueline was born to Robert and Dorothy (Agnew) McTrusty at Cooke County Hospital, Chicago, IL, but grew up in and built her beautiful life in Ashtabula. She proudly attended St. John High School and graduated from Kent State University. She started her career at Community Counseling Center in 1983 until 1997 and spent the rest of her career at ACMC. She touched the lives of so many while being "The Best" social worker everyone's ever worked with. She's known by her loved ones as the infamous "Jack-A" aka The Dancing Queen. She loved to spend her days walking the beach collecting beach glass, shells and so many other "treasures". If you couldn't find her at the beach, she was cultivating her magical gnome and fairy garden. Everyone enjoyed her holiday gingerbread displays each Christmas. She had a vibrant inner child that shown most brightly in the magic of Disney. She was known to all as a second mom with her warm and kind nature which will live on in every path she crossed. Jacquie is survived by her loving husband, Deryl Nazor; her daughters, Jolie (Tim) Doughty, and Jillian and Morgan Nazor; her siblings, Jeanne Fisher, Juli (Joseph) Yount, Robert (Kate) McTrusty, PJ (Tammy) McTrusty, and sister-in-law Lisa Strode; and all of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marian. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2-5PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Overlook Pavilion at Lake Shore Park on East 1st Street. Friends and family will share stories and memories at 3PM. Per the request of the family and Jacquie's wishes, we would ask that masks be worn and if you know her the more whimsical the better! Thank you for your understanding. To honor her memory, Jacquie's family has established a memorial scholarship to support individuals interested in pursuing a career in social work. Donations in Jacquie's honor can be sent to the ACMC Foundation, 2420 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, OH 44004. ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
