Blanca Iris Rios, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 18, 1941, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Modesto and Mercedes (Rivera) Plaza.
For over 37 years, Blanca was a faithful member of Iglesia Primitiva Pentencostal, Ashtabula. With her arms wide open, she found comfort in cooking for anyone who walked through the door but most of all, she received the most enjoyment from her children, grandchild, and great children. Blanca will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Augustine Rios; her children, Betzy Koster Plaza, Raul Arroyo Plaza, Cecila Oquendo Plaza, Antonia Oquendo Plaza, Raul Santana Plaza, Jose Santana (Tony Dee), Tiro Santana (Tito), and Betzaida Santana; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings Mingo Jimenez, Cheo Plaza, Virginia Plaza, Esther Plaza, Matillde Plaza, Mariana Plaza, Jobita Plaza.
Calling hours will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Iglesia Primitiva Pentecostal, 837 Joseph Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004 immediately followed by the funeral service starting at 12 PM. Rev. Ruben Claudio will officiate with burial at Ridgeview Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio.
