Obituary of Edna Hall

Edna Hall ASHTABULA- Edna Hall ,66 died unexpectedly at her home on Monday October 4, 2021. Edna was born on August 18, 1955, in Martin, Kentucky, the daughter of Hatler and Delores (Hall) Johnson and had been a resident of the Ashtabula area since moving with her family as a child. Edna was a dedicated employee of both Rockwell Plastics and Hadlock Plastics for many years, she worked a supervisor and took great pride in her work. She enjoyed working with her fellow employees Edna had many interests and talents, she liked to garden enjoying the flowers she so tenderly cared for and sharing her vegetables with others. She also canned many of her vegetables to eat later in the fall and enjoy that fresh garden flavor. Edna was a great cook, from “down home” style cooking to pies and cakes she seemed to be able to do it all. In her quiet times she enjoyed crocheting and sharing her creations with others which now have become treasures of the heart. Edna’s greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren; her love for them was boundless. Edna will be remembered as a caretaker, when others needed help, she was there. You did not need to ask for help, she just seemed to know. It gave her joy to know that she could help others; never thinking of herself first. Edna is survived by her children, Hargis A. (Jennifer Jewell) Hall and Maria Hall all of Ashtabula; the father of her children and former husband, Hargis Hall for whom she was a caregiver; grandchildren, Nicholas Casteel, Johnathan Pierce and Franklin Pierce; siblings, Wilma Cole, Lester (Lana) Johnson and Edgar Johnson; loving nieces and nephews and many friends. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Hatler and Delores Johnson; siblings, Katherine Johnson, Thelma Paul, Rodney Johnson, and Hatler Johnson, Jr. in infancy; brother-in-law; Ronnie Cole; niece, Amanda Hall-Knox; nephew, James Dean Cole. Funeral Services will be at 4PM on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Kenneth Roberts will officiate.
