Obituary of Christopher David McBride

Christopher McBride, 49, of Ashtabula, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at UH-Geauga Hospital. Born on July 29, 1972, in Conneaut, he was a son of Kevin McBride, Janet (Andes) Thome and stepfather, Lawrence Thome of Ashtabula. A resident of Ashtabula County for all his life, Chris was a 1990 Graduate of Conneaut High School and as the years went on, he was on the Advisory Committee at A-Tech. A talented artist, Chis had a passion for photography, whether it was capturing couples’ special moments on their wedding days or taking high school senior photos. A kind soul, he went above and beyond to teach his skills to up and coming photographers. A loving husband, father, brother, son, and mentor, Chris will be deeply missed by all who new and loved him. In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories is his beloved wife of 27 years, Sherri (Kellogg) McBride; his children, Kyle (Amy) McBride of Birmingham, UK, Noelle (Aaron) Lawrence of Warren, OH, Michael McBride of Ashtabula, and Magen Collins of Erie, PA; his siblings, Jeffery (Shannon) McBride, Patrick (Tammy) McBride and stepbrother Jerry (Dian) Thome, all of Conneaut and his stepsister, Kathy (Bob) Hovanec of Albion, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kyle and Jesse Andes, his paternal grandparents’ Thomas and Twila McBride and his father-in-law, Michael Kellogg. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, starting at 11AM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, OH 44004 with Michael McBride, Jr. officiating. Calling hours will be from 1PM-3PM and 5PM-8PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W.
