Obituary of Shirley Irene Moore

Shirley Irene Moore, 75, of Dorset passed away in her home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born on August 18, 1946, in Coshocton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Mary (Patrick) Fitzgerald. A resident of Ashtabula County for most of her life, Shirley was a member of Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God. She worked at Rockwell Brake for 15 years. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Alexa, whom she helped raise. She also adored her Gold Pomeranian, Heifer. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ivane Alex of Ashtabula; her son, Ival Moore (fiancé, Carolyn Ours) of Dorset; her six grandchildren, Haley, Harley, Addyson, Alexa, Colton, and Brianna; and many step-children whom she helped raise. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Moore in 2005; her son, Dallas Moore at infancy; her sisters, Myrtle Louise and Thelma Hunt; and her parents. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 1PM to 3PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula with services 12 noon Monday, November 15, 2021 at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Falke, Pastor of Church of the Living God, will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
