Christopher A. Bowman
CONNEAUT – Christopher A. Bowman, 58, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at University Hospitals – Conneaut Medical Center.
He was born February 3, 1963, in Ashtabula, the son of Linden and Darlene (Bott) Bowman and had been area resident most of his life.
June 24, 1983 was an incredibly special day for Chris; he married his one true love and partner in crime Karen Vencill. They were made for each other and the thirty-eight years they were together wonderful memories were created. It is these memories that will warm Karen’s heart.
Chris was a veteran of the United States Army, serving with the Combat Engineers. He was proud of his service to his country.
A fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chris did not mind the teasing from his brothers-in-law about his choice of teams. A quiet day of fishing gave him great enjoyment and he would tell you of the one that got away. Chris was very fond of Eagles, he enjoyed watching them as they flew through the sky searching for prey. He loved and supported his family; he cheered in their success and supported them in their disappointments. His grandchildren were the apple of his eyes, it was a great day when he was able to spend time with them.
His survivors include his wife Karen (Vencill) Bowman; four children, Jessica (Joe Long) Seymour, Jamie Smith (Ryan Parco), Jeremy Bowman (Amy Tyson), and Christopher Border; his grandchildren, Colton, Kenadie, Carter, Deymien, Jordan, Isabella, Scotty, Ovella, and Jeremy; sisters, Linda (Mark) Wood of CA, Debbie (Richard) Heath of Conneaut; a brother, Dennis (Tammy) Bowman of Conneaut; and a sister-in-law, Maribeth Bowman of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Bowman; his brother, Rev. Linden D. Bowman; and his parents.
