Obituary of Calvin Runnion

Calvin W. Runnion ASHTABULA- Calvin Willie Runnion 79, beloved brother, husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and great-great grandpa was called home on November 26, 2021. Born on March 4, 1942, in Clay County, West Virginia, Calvin was one of ten children of William and Esta (Riggs) Runnion. Calvin and his beloved Sylvia seem as though they have been together forever, where you see one you always saw the other. Two peas in a pod, made for each other. Calvin began working at an early age and never stopped; he passed his work his ethic to his children and grandchildren. Calvin enjoyed living on his small farm in Saybrook where he cared for chickens and other animals. His neighbors benefited from his generosity as he mowed their yards and removed snow from the sidewalks and driveways. When Calvin and Sylvia moved to town he continued to help where he could. Calvin’s greatest enjoyment was his family. He had such love for them, he encouraged and supported them in their joys and shared with them in their disappointments. Calvin is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia; children, Norma (William) Taylor, Marsha Runnion, Timothy (Theresa) Runnion; grandchildren, Michelle Taylor, Diane McCourt, Candy Taylor, Sarah Titus, Amber Kelly, Adam Runnion and Owen Lanzanis; many loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Larry Runnion, Twinkle Dodge, and Lucy Sleight; many loving nieces and nephews. Calvin was preceded in death by his siblings, Don Runnion, Okey Runnion, Harry Runnion, Betty Runnion, Annafaye Taylor and Marsha Fydock and his parents.
