Marisa Ashley, 71, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at South Pointe Hospital.
Marisa was born November 18, 1950 in Forli Del Sannio, Italy, the daughter of Alberto and Ida (Ferrando) Rossi and came with her family to the United States in 1953 on the ocean liner SS Andrea Doria.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, she was a homemaker who loved to spoil her grandson and take care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and affectionate teasing. Known as the Hallmark Queen, she had an elaborate collection of Christmas ornaments. She loved her afternoon shows and always found time to watch Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and Another World.
Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Ashley, whom she married November 29, 1973; three children, Fred (Dawn Dull) Ashley, Ida Ashley, and Paul A. (Sandi) Ashley; her grandchildren, Gregory Ashley and Christina Ashley; a brother, Carlo (Janet) Rossi of Redondo Beach, CA; a sister, Teresa Reeder of Webb City, MO; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; one aunt, Filomena Adele (Ed) Sabo; two uncles, Nicola (Maria) Ferrando, and Mario (Marilyn) Ferrando; and her beloved kitty, Lil bit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Adelmo Rossi in infancy.
Services will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
