Obituary of Rita Rae Harcourt

Rita R. Harcourt CONNEAUT- Rita Rae Harcourt, 66, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at UH Conneaut Medical Center. The daughter of late Clinton and Phyllis (Oliver) Combs; Rita was born on January 22, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio. As a child she and her family moved to Bristol, Tennessee; then moved to Ashtabula where she made her home. Rita and David Harcourt were united in marriage on July 4, 1981. Their marriage journey of forty years was one of dedication, support, and genuine affection for each other. Rita and David liked to drive to Point Park in Ashtabula and to Conneaut Township to watch the barges come and leave the harbors. Rita and David like to attend Comic-con Conventions, they were young at heart and enjoyed meeting other attendees and vendors. Rita was also an Auxiliary member the VFW Post #943 in Ashtabula. Animals held a special place in her heart. She would make bead jewelry to share with her family and friends. In her quiet times, Rita enjoyed reading novels. Her greatest joy came from being with her family, she loved her children and spoiled them with love and compassion. Rita is survived by her husband, David, her son, Adam his wife McKayla; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and David Kozak. Rita is preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Harcourt, and her parents. Inurnment will be held 1 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio 44048.
