Obituary of Ivane Ann Alex

ASHTABULA - Ivane Ann Alex, 49, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 and University Hospitals - Portage Medical Center, Ravenna. Born on August 15, 1972, in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of the Ivan and Shirley (Fitzgerald) Moore. A lifelong resident of Ashtabula County, she was a Christian by faith and worked as a nursing assistant until her health would not allow her to do so. A devoted mother and grandmother, Ivane loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Amanda, who was "her baby girl.", She also loved cats and her favorites were Fruitcake and Shasta who slept with her every night. Ivane will also be remembered as one to never be afraid of sharing her opinion with you whether you liked it or not. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Colton (fiance' Danielle Jablonski) Alex and Brianna "Shay" Alex, both of Ashtabula; her granddaughter, Amanda Sterling; her brother, Ival Moore (fiancé, Carolyn Ours) of Dorset; her nieces, , Haley, Harley, Addyson, Alexa; her adopted daughter, Elisa Keehn; and her dear friend who helped care for her, Kay Segall. Ivane was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan Moore in 2005 and Shirley Moore on November 10, 2021; and her brother, Dallas Moore at infancy. Calling hours will be held 11AM-12Noon Friday, December 10, 2021 with a service to follow at 12 Noon at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Rev. Robert Falke, Pastor of Church of the Living God, will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
